Transfer report: Paris Saint-Germain hoping to beat Tottenham and Manchester United to signing of Fulham sensation Ryan Sessegnon

Ryan Sessegnon is valued at £50million after a brilliant season for Fulham

Paris Saint-Germain are the club leading the chase to sign Fulham's highly-rated teenager Ryan Sessegnon, according to reports.

Tottenham have been linked with a strong interest in the 17-year-old, who has been one of the Championship’s outstanding players this season.

Manchester United and Manchester City are also said to be tracking the England Under-21 international.

But, according to the Daily Mirror, French champions PSG are ‘pushing hardest’ to sign Sessegnon in the summer transfer window.

Sessegnon has been in sensational form for Fulham this season and is now regarded as one of Europe’s hottest prospects.

The 17-year-old, who started the campaign as a left-back but has been gradually moved into a more attacking role, has scored 15 goals for the Cottagers and provided six assists.

His form was recognised at the EFL Awards in April when he swept up five gongs, including Championship Player of the Season, Young Player of the Season and Championship Apprentice of the Year crowns.

It is claimed he will be valued at £50million this summer after a brilliant campaign.

His goals helped Fulham compete for promotion, and while they eventually just missed out on an automatic berth, finishing third behind Wolves and Cardiff.

They still have a chance to secure Premier League football in the upcoming play-offs and Sessegnon’s future is likely to hinge on how Fulham fare.

The youngster said earlier in the season he wanted to play in the top flight with the London club, but is has been suggested he could be lured away from Craven Cottage this summer is the club fail to secure promotion.
