Manchester City transfer report: Premier League champions 'table second bid' for Napoli midfielder Jorginho
Manchester City have already failed with one bid for Italy international Jorginho
Manchester City have tabled a new £42million bid for Napoli midfielder Jorginho, according to reports.
The Premier League champions are desperate to land the Italy international this summer and have already had one offer knocked back.
That bid was structured at €45m (£39.4m) up front with a further €5m (£4.3m) being included as bonuses.
Napoli rejected that bid but, according to Sky Sports, Manchester City have returned with a new proposal.
City hope an improved offer of €48m (£42m) up front with €2m (£1.75m) in add-ons will be enough to get a deal for Jorginho over the line.
However, they may be disappointed.
Napoli are reportedly demanding they receive the €50m (£43.75m) in full, or else the 26-year-old cannot leave.
