Ex-Chelsea boss Gullit: Conte 'on trial' against Barcelona
Ex-Chelsea boss Ruud Gullit insists Antonio Conte will be on trial if his side are knocked out of the Champions League against Barcelona on Wednesday night.
The Blues must score at the Nou Camp to advance after the first leg in London ended in a 1-1 draw.
It won't be an impossible task for Chelsea, but given the Italian's inclination to play defensive football, Gullit believes the pressure is on Conte to show he can mastermind a memorable victory.
"He's on trial against Barcelona," the legendary Dutchman told Sky Sports.
"He's going to show us if he has the right tactics, if he has the right changes.
"Look at Tottenham, look at what Juventus did – one change, two changes and the whole game changes.
"That's what you expect from a coach and you need to do that. That's fantastic to see. And if you don't see that at the right moment, then you get criticised."
