Burnley, Everton and Palace target could snub Premier League for LaLiga
Toko Ekambi won Ligue 1's 'African Player of the Year' award for 2017/18
Angers hotshot Karl Toko Ekambi says he is keen on a summer switch to Villarreal despite interest from Burnley, Everton and Crystal Palace.
All three Premier League clubs are expected to move for the 25-year-old, who has scored 17 goals in 36 Ligue 1 outings this term.
But Villarreal are also working hard on landing Ekambi when the transfer window opens and have already had one bid turned down by Angers.
Their initial offer of around £14m was snubbed, but the Spanish club are expected to return with a second bid.
And crucially, Ekambi himself would be open to the move.
When asked about a switch to Villarreal, he told RMC: “Certainly, I am interested in this club because it is a club that will play in Europe, a family club.
“It is a club that interests me like several other clubs.”
